Start of the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 265 on control over drug intake

Back to Overview

You are here:

Approximately ten million people in Germany are addicted to alcohol, tobacco, medicines, and illicit drugs. A small portion, however, manages to overcome addiction without external help. This will be investigated within the trans-regional Collaborative Research Centre "Losing and Regaining Control over Drug Intake: From Trajactories to Mechanisms to Interventions" headed by the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The findings will contribute to the development of individual therapies against addiction. The collaborative research project will be funded with 12 million Euros for four years by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
